The ABB CI854A Digital Output Module is a 6U single slot VMEbus module that provides hard and floppy storage options for our embedded VMEbus processor series. This module can be configured with a single drive or with two drives simultaneously. Flash drives are available as an option. VME-7452 is a passive VMEbus board that only connects to P2 user-defined pins, power, and ground. A standard VMEbus 6U single slot 3.5-inch 1.44 MB floppy disk drive with an optional flash drive. A low battery signal with only a limited amplitude is called a digital signal. Digital signals are discrete and only contain different values. Digital signals carry binary data in the form of bits, namely 0 or 1, and can only contain one value for a period of time. Digital signals are represented as square waves or clock signals. The minimum value is 0 volts, while the value is 5 volts. Compared to analog signals, digital signals are less affected by noise. The transmission of digital data in analog channels is accomplished through a process called modulation. Amplitude modulation is the process of converting digital data into analog signals using a single frequency carrier signal. Similarly, frequency shift keying uses a constant amplitude carrier signal and two frequencies to distinguish between 1 and 0.
