The GE V7768-322001 input module is used to receive and collect input signals. There are two types of input signals: one is the switch input signal provided by button switches, travel switches, digital dial switches, proximity switches, photoelectric switches, pressure relays, etc.; the other is the continuously changing analog input signal sent from potentiometers, thermoelectric devices, speed measuring motors, and various transmitters. The input module also needs to convert these different level signals into digital signals that the CPU can receive and process.
The function of the output module is to receive digital signals processed by the central processing unit and convert them into signals that can be received by on-site execution components, used to control contactors, solenoid valves, regulating valves, speed control devices, etc. Another type of load controlled is indicator lights, digital displays, and alarm devices.
Discrete Input Module
The switch input module receives signals from input devices such as sensors, buttons, and switches, which can have two states – on/off.
For analog channel connections, it is recommended to use shielded twisted pair cables. If possible, this cable should be grounded on the source device. If the source device is not a grounding option, use I/O module grounding. If shielding connections need to be added, auxiliary I/O terminal blocks can be added to the middle terminals.
