The Prosoft MVI46-DFCM Slave Communication Module is a communication module that allows Rockwell Automation SLC I/O compatible processors to interface easily with other DF1 protocol compatible devices. It has two RS-485 ports that support both half-duplex and full-duplex communication. The module is compatible with a wide range of DF1 devices, including Rockwell Automation PLCs, power monitoring equipment, and other third-party devices. The MVI46-DFCM can be configured to act as a master or a slave on the DF1 network. When configured as a master, the module can initiate communication with slave devices and poll them for data. When configured as a slave, the module can respond to requests from master devices and provide them with data.
