Woodward uses its load sharing module model in conjunction with an engine equipped with speed control, receiving ± 3 Vdc speed setting input,
0.5 to 4.5 Vdc input, or PWM (pulse width modulation) input.
The load sharing module allows the use of Woodward power generation accessories and allows for load sharing
Between engines equipped with non Woodward manufactured speed control devices
Woodward electronic control with engine control, or control the use of other Woodward load sharing modules.
The load sharing module provides synchronous and droop load sharing capabilities for engines in generator set applications.
Additional devices in the control system can include Woodward SPM-A synchronizers, SPM-D synchronizers,
Automatic Generator Load Control (AGLC) and Automatic Power Transmission and Load Control (APTL).
