Xycom XVME-957 Acromag XVME957 Large-capacity storage board Configuration:500 MB – 6 GB Hard Drive,1.44 MB 3.5″ Floppy Drive,Based on the context provided, XVME957 is a high-capacity storage subsystem that provides a large IDE hard drive and a 1.44 MB 3.5-inch floppy disk drive in a single VMEbus slot. The subsystem is designed to work with Xycom’s VME PC/AT processor [1]. The subsystem is also available with a 1.3-inch IDE flash disk drive for applications that require non-rotating high-capacity storage

The XVME957 module can be easily inserted into the VMEbus backplane, and IDE hard drive and floppy disk signals are transmitted through the P2 connector [0]. The XVME957 is a 6U VMEbus module [1].
According to artisantg.com, the XVME957 subsystem can be purchased without a hard drive or with a 500 MB to 6 GB hard drive. The subsystem is also equipped with a 1.44 MB 3.5-inch floppy disk drive. The part number for the subsystem with the floppy disk drive is 70957-014.

The module status/control register (found at module base address + 81H) on intelligent XVME I/O modules provides the current status of the module self-test in conjunction with the current status of the front panel LEDs. The status register on intelligent modules is a “Read Only” register and it can be read by software to determine if the board is operating properly.
